A couple was charged with breaking into a TVA building on Hickory Valley Road and taking $7,500 in items as well as a truck.

Dustin Lee Adams, 25, and Hollie Diesz, 38, are charged with theft and firearm possession.

In the incident on Wednesday, TVA officials said the thieves entered the building and took several sets of keys, a Think Pad, a Nikon 300 camera, two Garmin GPS units and several other electronic items.

The keys were used to steal one of the trucks on the lot. It was driven through the gate.

Police said the stolen truck was found in Soddy Daisy a short time later.

Just four hours after the theft, police located Adams and Ms. Diesz with a stolen Jeep and a stolen camper in the woods at 1300 Mercer St.

Police found all the items that had been taken from the TVA building at the scene.

Ms. Diesz had a 22 caliber revolver in her purse and Adams had a 32 caliber revolver, which he dropped on the ground as officers approached.
