The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is still investigating the domestic assault case involving Mayor Andy Berke's senior adviser and her husband.
Bobby Stone, who was charged with domestic assault in the May 20 incident, was due in General Sessions Court on Tuesday morning. However, the case was passed to Sept. 13 because the TBI report is not yet back.
The TBI got involved when the case involved higher ups at City Hall.
Ms. Stone called Police Chief Fred Fletcher after the altercation at the couple's home, and she went directly to the chief's house.
Mayor Berke has denied allegations by Mr.
Stone of any involvement with Ms. Stone.
Ms. Stone earlier had been given a raise by the mayor when he named her senior adviser. She went from $65,588 to $80,000 per year.
The couple no longer has contact under terms of the court case.
They each have hired divorce lawyers.
Bobby Stone is represented by attorney Lee Davis in the domestic assault case.
