Scoggins Takes The Wheel For Ownbey And Wins At North Georgia Speedway

Taking the wheel for his cousin/best-friend John Ownbey longtime Cleveland, Tn., racer Lamar Scoggins piloted Sam Durham's blue #J0 "Sam's Restaurant Equipment, A+ Moving & Storage, M&S Motors, Denton's Wrecker Service, Stealth Carburetor and Austin Trucking, It Works" sponsored Longhorn Super Late Model to Victory Lane on Saturday at the North Georgia Speedway.

Ownbey is suffering from back issues from a roll-over two weeks ago at the North Georgia Speedway.

Scoggins defeated pole-sitter Kevin Gibson and two-time former Dirt Track World Champion Ronnie Johnson. Tod Hernandez and Alabama's Tom Maddox rounded out the Top 5.

Villanow, Ga.'s Jeff Smith won the Crate Late Model feature.
