Funeral Services Set For Retired Catoosa County Sheriff's Deputy Killed In Accident With Train

Catoosa County Deputy Robert Patrick Ingram, 63, was killed on Tuesday in a traffic accident when his vehicle was struck by a train on Graysville Road.

A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, Mr. Ingram was an employee of the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department where he served as a deputy then later as court bailiff, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Ringgold First Baptist Church.

Authorities said Mr. Ingram was driving a black 2016 Chevrolet Camaro traveling north on Front Street when he passed several vehicles, then turned left onto Graysville Road.

He was struck by a CSX train when he drove around the railroad crossing arms. 

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
