Judy Ann Cate, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Opral and Edna Goodson Grissom.
Judy was a retired school teacher. After her retirement she worked many years as a social worker at Orange Grove Center.
Survivors include her son, Michael Mayfield Cate, II and his wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Michael M. Cate III and Caroline Elizabeth Cate, all of Marietta, Ga.; aunts, Morene G. Kimball, Raleigh, N.C., and Elnora Goodson, Johnson City, Tn.; cousins, Cheryl Goodson, Brunswick, Oh., Linda DuRant, Raleigh, N.C., Daniel Kimball, Kite, Ga., Stephen Goodson, Johnson City, Tn., and Carolyn Snell, Chelsea, Al.
The family will receive friends from 2–3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Rd. A private family service will follow.
