Judy Ann Cate, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at her residence. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Opral and Edna Goodson Grissom. 

Judy was a retired school teacher.  After her retirement she worked many years as a social worker at Orange Grove Center.

Survivors include her son, Michael Mayfield Cate, II and his wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Michael M. Cate III and Caroline Elizabeth Cate, all of Marietta, Ga.; aunts, Morene G. Kimball, Raleigh, N.C., and Elnora Goodson, Johnson City, Tn.; cousins, Cheryl Goodson, Brunswick, Oh., Linda DuRant, Raleigh, N.C., Daniel Kimball, Kite, Ga., Stephen Goodson, Johnson City, Tn., and Carolyn Snell, Chelsea, Al.

The family will receive friends from 2–3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Rd.  A private family service will follow.

Ivey, James Michael "Mike" (Rock Spring)

James Michael "Mike" Ivey, 71, of Rock Spring, Georgia, left this world all too soon after a brief illness.  Mike was a sergeant in the Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was instrumental in bringing digital claim technology to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee before later retiring from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. Donald (Don) Coy Douglas, age 72, of Dalton, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Coy Douglas; and mother, Bertha Jo Douglas. Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital on Friday evening after a person arrived with a gunshot wound.   The injured man told police he was shot on Thursday, Oct. 11.
