Tennessee Wesleyan Women's Soccer Advances To First-Ever Quarterfinals

Orange Beach, Ala.   Goals by Nicole Broderiick, Dayna Randall and Emily Saddler led Tennessee Wesleyan University to  3-0 win against No.11 seed The Master University (Calif).here Tuesday in the NAIA women's soccer national tournament.

Broderick made it 1-0 for TWU (15-4-2) in the 33rd minute, followed by a shot by Randall which bounced off the near post and in the goal for a 2-0 lead at intermission.

Saddler closed out the scoring with a goal in the 79th minute on an assist from Karla Martinez (Hixson).

The TWU defense was led by Emiley Saddler and Samantha Greene, while goalkeeper McKenna Loges had nine saves on nine shots on goal.

National Quarterfiinals: TWU, which has won eight straight matches and outscoring its opponents 32-1, takes on No.3 Northwestern (Ohio) tonight at 7:30 EST in the Lady Bulldogs first ever trip to the national quarterfiinals.
