Pedestrian Struck And Seriously Injured On Lee Highway Wednesday Evening

A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured Wednesday evening on Lee Highway.
 
At approximately 7 p.m. the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a pedestian struck at 6400 Lee Highway.
 
A vehicle driven by Patricia Oberst, 61, was traveling south on Lee Highway in the left lane approaching the intersection at Customer Delight Drive. The pedestrian was crossing Lee Highway from the east side of the road to the west side of the road and not within a crosswalk.
 
HCEMS transported the pedestrian to local hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. Ms. Oberst remained on the scene after the collision.
 
The Chattanooga Police Traffic Division is investigating this incident. The name of the pedestrian is being withheld until family is located.
