Chattanooga Housing Authority Honors LaVerne Neal For 25 Years Of Service

  • Friday, December 1, 2017

The Chattanooga Housing Authority honored long-time employee LaVerne Neal on her retirement earlier this week.  She was a member of the CHA staff for 25 years.

CHA Executive Director Elizabeth McCright said, “LaVerne Neal has been a valued member of our team since she accepted her position in 1992.  Over the years, she has experienced upgrades in technology as well changes in regulations and requirements that guide our daily work.  Throughout her tenure, LaVerne embraced these changes while serving as a role model for so many on our team.  Her dedication and commitment will be missed.  We wish her the best as this new chapter begins.”

Board Chairman Jim Sattler said, “LaVerne’s ‘can do’ attitude and accessibility made her a pleasure to work with for our board members.  She is a true public servant who has given her very best to her job each and every day.  We will miss her at the Chattanooga Housing Authority, but know she is about to have some of the best days of her life.  We couldn’t be more excited for her.”
