LBMC Holds Inaugural "Lending Hands" Event

  • Thursday, December 14, 2017

LBMC did something special this year instead of the annual LBMC Holiday Party. It held an inaugural “Lending Hands” event last week where employees were able to “lend a hand” to local nonprofits via hands-on volunteering during work hours Dec 4-8. 20 nonprofits benefitted from the 150 of LBMC employees last week across Tennessee in three locations equating to more than 700 hours and an estimated $150,000 donation to various charities across the state.

Dennis Blanton, LBMC managing partner said, “When we asked our employees what kinds of activities they wanted to be involved with, opportunities to give back were high on the list! Across LBMC Chattanooga our employees decorated for the holidays at Welcome Home.

a Residential Hospice for Homeless People in the terminal stages of illness, sorted and filled boxes of food for those in need at the Chattanooga Food Bank as well as painted the halls of Signal Centers, a school for developmentally disabled children and adults. Office parties are always a lot of fun, but there’s nothing like being able to help those less fortunate, especially during the holidays.”
