Alpha Mae "Suddie" Collier, 90, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017.
She was a dedicated member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was president of the senior choir for many years.
She was preceded in death her husband, Thomas A. Collier, Sr.; parents, Flister and Alfred Taylor; three sisters, two brothers, one niece and one nephew.
Survivors include her children, Virginia Braziel, Paul (Louise) Massengill, Thomas A. (Jackie) Collier, Jr., all of Chattanooga, and Brenda (Larry) Ramsey of Monroe, Ga; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice (Robert) Taylor, Elnora (Roy) Miller, of Chattanooga, Jo-Ann (James) Harris of Rossville, Sandra (Edward) Parker of Harrison, brother, Harold (Brenda) Taylor of Chattanooga; aunt, Joyce Harper; uncles, Clifford Taylor of Harrison, and Otis Taylor of Nashville, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
The body will lie in state beginning at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 26, and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
