Earl Brooks
Earl Brooks, 86, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord from his home on February 14, 2017. What a blessing Earl was able to spend almost eight hours at home with his “Darling Wife” Frances on Valentine’s Day and then spend the rest of that day in the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ while walking the streets of gold in Heaven, continuing his worship there.
Earl was a member of Dividing Ridge Church of God and a supporter of Perry Stone Ministries for more than thirty five years. He loved singing and praising the Lord. He retired from Western Union and loved traveling and camping with his family and playing with his grandchildren.
Earl was born April 28, 1930, to the late Donald C. and Lettie Brooks. He was also preceded in death by several brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Brooks; five children, Earl “Jack” Brooks, Jr. (Peggy), Debra Carlisle, Michael Brooks (Margaret), Dennis Brooks (Cathy), Valarie Witt (Rodney); 20 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, totaling 71 grand, great and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Holbert and Claude Brooks and a sister, Martha Brooks Weed.
The family would like to thank Amedisys with special thanks to Misty and Olivia and a family friend, Wanda Green.
