Thomas Charles "T.C." Johnson, 72, of Varnell, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. C. Johnson; mother, Susie Belle Clark; sister, Eva Mae Newton; and brother, Robert Newton Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Johnson of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Joseph Phipps of Summerville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Missy Slaughter of Fyffe, AL; sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Benjamin King of FL; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Johnson will be held Friday, February 24, at 3 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Newton officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3 p.m.
