Collins, Helen Aileen (Athens)

Helen Aileen Collins, 71, of Athens, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at her residence. 

She had lived in Cleveland her entire life before moving to Athens.  She was a member of Chestuee Baptist Church and had worked at Hardwick Farms for many years as a housekeeper and cook.  She was known as a hard worker and a great cook.  She always had dogs as pets and loved them dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Cas Collins;  parents, William Moore and Leva Buchannon Moore; two children, William Clarence Collins and James Alfred (Al) Collins; and one brother, Jessie Moore.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Goodwin of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Brogen Christine Goodwin and McKinley Taylor Goodwin; two brothers, George Moore and Chester Moore; one daughter-in-law, Donna Foley; and caretaker, Sue Stapp.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
