Chattanooga Room In The Inn Has Kentucky Derby Party

  • Tuesday, March 14, 2017

Chattanooga Room in the Inn will present its annual signature fundraiser, Tell Me Something Derby, on Saturday, May 6.  Held at the Black Creek Club in Lookout Valley, the event will include attention to detail in white table linens, centerpieces, food and the televised Run for the Roses on large screen TV’s.  The new venue will also offer an open bar and silent auction.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event go directly to the homeless women and children at Chattanooga Room in the Inn. CRITI is a three to nine month program that offers residential shelter and enhanced services for homeless women and children. The shelter provided for homeless women and mothers does come with strings.  All of the residents must participate in and successfully complete programs designed to create emotional and financial stability, seek and secure employment and permanent housing.

“I can’t think of a more enjoyable way to celebrate a southern tradition and support homeless women and children," said Executive Director Erin Creal.  "The cost for one ticket covers the cost of serving one mother and her child for a night at Chattanooga Room in the Inn.  I want everyone to join us for the Kentucky Derby event of the season and help your community by helping us empower those most vulnerable."

Co-sponsors of the event are Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC, Shaw Industries Group, Inc., Black Creek, TFP, and Sunny 92.3.

Individual tickets are $100 each. Reserved tables for eight start at $1,000. For tickets please contact Chattanooga Room in the Inn at 624-6144.
