Boyd-Buchanan, Baylor Post Boys Soccer Wins

The Boyd-Buchanan and Baylor boys soccer teams posted wins on Tuesday.  Boyd-Buchanan beat Silverdale 1-0 and Baylor beat Northwest Whitfield 4-1.

Will Boynton scored the second half game winner for the Bucs who out shot Silverdale 5-2.  

Isaac Antwine had two saves for Boyd-Buchanan and Bricen Vereen had four.  

Boyd-Buchanan improves to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the district.  Silverdale is now 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the district.

In Baylor's 4-1 win over Northwest Whitfield.  Dee Appleberry scored their lone first half goal with an assist from Eerneli Maketa.  

Matheus Maia would score two second half goals with the first coming off an assist from Clay Thames and Keegan Weekley.  The second was assisted by Dee Appleberry.  Weekley scored the final goal.  

Northwest's goal came late in the game by Enzo Lavecchia. 

"The score does not dictate how this game was played," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said after the game. "Either team could have won tonight. We did a good job in the second half of moving the ball and that created some great scoring chances. I think we gt better as the game went along. Coach Scoggins does a great job with them and they will make a long run in the GA state tournament."
