Yacht Rock Revue With Jason D. Williams At Engel Stadium

Yacht Rock Revue and Jason D. Williams braved the storms Saturday night at historic Engel Stadium for the 5th Annual American Dream Concert. The concert benefits the Veterans Entrepreneur Program at UTC, providing free specialized educational services for U.S. military veterans.

The covered seats was the order of the night for Chattanooga Live Music fans to enjoy this concert, even in the steady rain showers, once Jason D.

Williams and his band performed. The sound in the stadium is extraordinarily good and the seating view was great, especially when Yacht Rock Revue never made it to the stage and brought their intimate acoustic performance to the fans in the covered seating area.

Yacht Rock Revue has become one of Chattanooga’s favorite bands to see when they come to town. After a huge show at Riverbend a couple of years ago, they have filled the Revelry Room and now moved up to the larger Track 29 to accommodate their fans. Specializing in the soft rock hits of the 70’s & 80’s, Yacht Rock Revue is one of the nation’s premier tribute bands, featuring songs from Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, and many more.

Jason D. Williams entertained one of the largest crowds in the 10-year history of Riverfront Nights last summer. The man, who may or may not be the son of piano playing legend Jerry Lee Lewis, delivers an action packed performance of boogie-woogie piano music that will have the entire crowd dancing.  Look for Jason D Williams to return at Riverbend on the Coke stage same night later after Toby Keith.

The five-time winner of the Chattanooga female vocalist of the year award, Janella Hayes, performed the National Anthem prior to the concert as US101 Radiohead Styckman got the party started.  Also, Janella Hayes will make an appearance at Riverbend this year too.

Thanks to Dixie Fuller, Bob Payne, Amy Morrow, Chip Baker and others including the Riverbend Festival support staff and security.  The sound and light engineers was no doubt stressed protecting the stage gear equipment and stage safety.
