Kenneth Eugene Thompson, 71, of Plainview Community, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Lillian Thompson; sister, Patricia Thompson.
He is survived by his loving wife of the residence, Brenda Thompson; Son, Neil Thompson of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Jimmy Robinson of Cohutta; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Tim Brown, of Cohutta; grandson, Scott Thompson of Dalton; nieces and nephews also survive.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, May 22, at 10 a.m. at the Varnell Cemetery with Reverend Clay Sutton officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 21, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
