Bobby Pressly Moore, 85, of Chickamauga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 24, 2017.
He was born in Statesville, NC, to the late William Carl and Beulah Mae Moore, Sr. He had lived in Statesville, NC for most of his life before moving to the North Georgia area in 1979 and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. He was a sergeant in the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict and retired from the Army Reserves after more than 20 years of service. He then went on to work for and retire from Datel Communications after more than 15 years in Shipping & Receiving. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was completely devoted to his family and friends, no matter what the cost.
He was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Margaret Proctor and Dorothy Farmer and brother, William Carl Moore, Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 59 years, Mary Brown Moore of Chickamauga, daughter, Beth Myers of Rock Spring; two grandchildren, Evan Myers and Katie Delich; great-grandson, Charlie Delich and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, in the J. Avery Bryan Chapel with Reverend Terry Burns officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
