Juanita Hollis Cape, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Wednesday morning, August 16, 2017 at Hospice of Chattanooga, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  

Juanita was born June 3, 1935 in Murray County, Ga., a daughter of the late James Henry and Anna Mae Summey Hollis.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Clifford Hollis, Archie Hollis and Roy V.L. Hollis; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Bridges and Buddy Causby. 

Juanita was retired from Springs Industries of Calhoun, where she worked for 49 years.  She was member of Crosspointe Christian Centre of Dalton. 

She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Bridges, Margaret Loretta “Margie” Hollis, Wilma and Steve Newton all of Dalton, and Martha Sue Causby of Cisco, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Carolyn Hollis of Dalton; special friends, Dottie Cassion of Lafayette, and Mamie Parks of Dalton; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Juanita Hollis Cape will be held Friday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Mike Douglas and Reverend Chester Edwards officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her brother at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with David Causby, Ronnie Bridges, John Tate and Justin Raburn serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 11 a.m. Friday morning until the service hour.
