Firefighters Respond To Fire Early Sunday Morning

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a house fire shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday at 2903 3rd Avenue. Lt. Nick Sewell with Engine 9 said smoke and flames were visible at the rear of the structure when the first firefighters arrived on the scene. 

Firefighters with Engine 9 and Engine 5 made an interior attack and quickly brought the blaze under control.
All of the occupants had already gotten safely out of the structure. No injuries were reported. 

An estimate on the dollar loss was not available. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
