Hamilton County Schools will be closed Tuesday due to debris in roads and power outages.
School Age Child Care will not operate.
Schools also closed on Tuesday include Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Trion, Richard Hardy, Chattooga, Dalton, Christian Heritage and Chickamauga.
Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy will delay one hour.
Cleveland City Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday. Buses will run on a two-hour delay, and breakfast will be available for students at school. Bradley County Schools will also be on a two-hour delay.
Also having a two-hour delay on Tuesday will be Chattanooga Christian, Avondale SDA Adventist School, Calvary Christian School,Grundy County and Marion County.
Catoosa County Government offices will open two hours late at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Emergency services personnel will report for duty and rotate shifts at regular times.
Chattanooga Airport officials said, “As a result of hurricane Irma, the weather system will be affecting flights in and out of Chattanooga today so if you are travelling we urge you to check with your airline before arriving at the Chattanooga Airport.”
Monday evening’s Framework Plan Presentation for South Broad District event at Calvary Chapel has been canceled due to inclement weather as the public’s safety is the highest priority. All remaining events will occur as previously scheduled. It will be moved to Thursday, at 6 p.m.
The Union is cancelling Worship Night originally scheduled for Monday at 7 pm at the Chattanooga House of Prayer located at 3912 Dayton Boulevard in Red Bank.
The Giving Tuesday pep rally scheduled for Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. has been cancelled.
All Campuses of Georgia Northwestern Technical College as well as Dalton State will be closed Tuesday.
