1 Killed, Another Injured In House Fire On Sunday Afternoon In Lookout Valley

One person was killed and another injured in a house fire Sunday afternoon in Lookout Valley.

The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to the fire at 1218 Judy's Lane at 3:14 p.m. on Sunday. 

Squad 20 was the first arriving company and it confirmed smoke and flames showing. An off duty Chattanooga firefighter and three neighbors pulled a resident from the house. 

There were three residents in the house at the time of the fire.  Even though there was a quick knock down of the fire, there was one fatality. There was one patient who was transported to Erlanger Hospital, and one treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.  

This fire is under investigation.

There were six fire companies that responded to this fire: Squad 20, Quint 1, Ladder 1, Quint 3, Squad 1, Quint 2, Battalion Chief 1, Battalion Chief 3, and PIO.  Hamilton County EMS and Chattanooga Police Department also responded.
