Harry T. Montgomery, age 72, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.
He was born on Aug. 22, 1945 to the late Jessie Parks Montgomery and Rosie Lee Turner Montgomery. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie O. Turner, and brother-in-law, Donald Careathers.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Careathers of Chickamauga, Deborah (Stacey) Evans of Lyerly, Ga., and Sheila Montgomery of Chattanooga; brothers, Jessie (Vivian) Montgomery of Chattanooga and Calvin (Betty) Montgomery of Chickamauga; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 20 Parrish Cir., Chickamauga, with Pastor Hugh Byrd and other ministers officiating. Interment will be in Garmany Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
