An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to the indictment of a Morristown woman accused of falsely reporting a sexual assault incident against police officers.

In April, 2017, at the request of 4th District Attorney General James Dunn, TBI special agents began investigating allegations of sexual assault involving three Sevierville police officers. Ashley Nicole Green, 32, reported that she was sexually assaulted by the officers while she was unconscious. The investigation revealed that the incident did not occur.

On Jan. 5, the Sevier County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Ms. Green with one count of false reporting. Today, Ms. Green was arrested and booked into the Sevier County Jail on a $7,500 bond.
