Some Area Schools Will Be Closed Thursday And Friday Due To Bitter Temps

A number of area schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday due to extremely cold weather.

The Chattanooga area is expecting wind chill factors as low as two degrees on Thursday morning and wind chills as low as four degrees on Friday morning.

The predicted low on Thursday morning is 16 degrees and on Friday morning is 13 degrees.

Rain is set to start on Sunday as low temperatures finally reach above the freezing level.  

Schools closed include Bradley, Bledsoe, Dayton, Rhea County, Marion County, Meigs County, Marion County, Grundy County, McMinn County and Polk County.
