Senator Bob Corker on Thursday released the following statement regarding President Donald J. Trump’s nomination of U.S. Magistrate Judge Clifton L. Corker to serve as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
“Judge Corker is a respected magistrate judge for the Eastern District who understands the importance of faithfully upholding the Constitution and impartially applying the law,” said Senator Corker.
“I am pleased he has been nominated to serve East Tennessee as a federal district court judge and am proud to recommend him to my colleagues for swift confirmation.”
Judge Corker is of no relation to Senator Corker.
