George Davis
George Davis, 52, of Dayton, died on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1966, in LaFollette.
George was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Parlie Bolton, his father, Eddie Davis and his uncle, John Bolton.
He served his country with the United States Marine Corps and has lived in Dayton since 2003.
George is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Robinson) Davis; his mother Lois (Bolton) Davis of LaFollette; his children William “Beau” (Kala) Young of Sumter, SC, Kyle (Sarah) Young of Soddy Daisy and Shannon (Victor) Hemness of Dayton; his sister Deborah “Debbie” Davis of LaFollette; six grandchildren, Hannah Hemness, Landon Young, Makenleigh Young, Brentlee Young, Breckyn Young and Paisley Young; his aunts and uncles Bernice (John) Hackworth of Knoxville, Frances Davis, Retha (Mike) Huddleston and Carl (Bobbie) Davis all of Jellico, Mary Allen of Duff, Charlotte (Bill) Thomas of Clearfield, Sue (Johnny) Clear of LaFollette, Etta Gulley of Clearfield and Jimbo (Linda) Bolton of Duff.
Funeral services for George will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18, at noon in the funeral home chapel with his uncle Reverend Jimbo Bolton officiating. He will be laid to rest in Smith-Wilkey Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
