U.S. Congressional District 3 Forum Scheduled For Monday Is Canceled

  • Wednesday, October 17, 2018

The candidate forum for U.S. Congressional District 3 scheduled for Monday, Oct. 22, has been canceled.

Congressman Chuck Fleischmann and Dr. Danielle Mitchell were invited to participate and give input on possible dates back in September. Dr. Mitchell responded, but Rep. Fleischmann did not. After a month without a commitment, a date was announced last week.

Rep. Fleischmann’s campaign representative let the league know on Wednesday that he will be unable to attend due to another commitment in one of his district’s northern counties on Oct. 22.

The League of Women Voters of Chattanooga and Southern Adventist University’s School of Journalism and Communication and History and Political Studies Department were sponsoring the candidate forum. They do not endorse candidates or contribute to political campaigns.
