Upcoming Street Closings Announced For Special Events

Here are upcoming street closings:

Wednesday:

First Centenary Fall Festival: Oak Street will be closed between Lindsay Street and Houston Street from 3-9 p.m.
for the First Centenary United Methodist fall festival.

Friday:

Startup Week Parade: The westbound lane of East 11th St. will be closed between Market St. and Columbia St. from 5pm to 7pm for the Startup Week Parade lineup. At 5:30PM the parade will proceed north on Market St. from E. 11th St. to E. MLK Blvd, turn down Georgia Ave, and end at Miller Park. There will be police escorts stopping traffic as the parade moves through town. 

City Hall Halloween Event: Lindsay Street will be closed between E 10th and E 11th Street and E 11th St will be closed between Lindsay St and Newby St on Friday, October 26 from 8:30AM until 4PM for the City Halloween Event.

Bitter Alibi Halloween Party: Houston Street will be closed between MLK Boulevard and Flynn Street from 5 p.m.-2 a.m. for this Halloween celebration.

ChattaJack 31: Riverfront Parkway will be closed between Chestnut Street and Power Alley from noon on Friday, Oct. 26 to 11 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28 for this stand-up paddle board race.  

West Village Out on 8th  - W 8th Street between Pine Street and Chestnut Street will be closed on Friday, October 26th from 2 pm until  8 am on Saturday, October 27th.  

Saturday:

Paths to Peace: Tremont Street will be closed at the entrance to the Chattanooga Theater Centre on Saturday, October 27 from 10AM until 4PM.

2018 Tennessee Valley Heart Walk: One westbound lane of W. 3rd Street will be closed from Walnut Street to Power Alley, as well as all of Walnut Street from Aquarium Way to E. 3rd Street for this walk benefiting the American Heart Association. In addition, a single northbound lane of Market Street will be closed from E. 3rd Street to Frazier Avenue and a single eastbound lane of Frazier Avenue from Market Street to the Walnut Street Bridge. 

CSAS Book It! 5K Run/Walk:  A single lane of E. 3rd Street and Mabel Street will be closed from 8AM to 10AM for this fundraising run and walk. 

Chattanooga Mocs Home Game - Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance to the pavilion parking lot to W 19th Street; W 19th Street will also be closed, from 5AM until 11:30PM for the opening game of the Chattanooga Mocs. This closure will be in effect on: 8/30, 9/22, 10/6, 10/27, 11/10, 11/24, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15 for the 2018 season. Please note that there will be no street parking available on Chestnut Street from W 17th Street to W 19th Street starting at 5AM on the days of the home games.

UTC Homecoming Tailgate: Chestnut Street will be closed between W 17th Street and W 19th Street from 11AM until 8PM. 

Halloween on Station Street: Station Street will be closed between Market Street and Brinks Security from 4PM until 2AM for a Halloween celebration.  

West Village Halloween Street Festival
 Pine Street between W 7th Street and W M.L. King Blvd, and 
W 8th Street between Pine Street and Chestnut Street will be closed from 8 am until midnight.
   
Sunday:

Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance to the pavilion parking lot to W 19th Street from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm each Sunday through November 18.

Puppy Brunch Spooky Edition with HES: Chestnut Street will be closed between W 17th Street and W 19th Street from 10AM until 4PM.
