The congregation of Middle Valley Church of God, at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, will celebrate Pastor and Family Sunday on Sunday, in the 10:30 a.m. service.
Pastor Mitch McClure has served the congregation and community since September 1997.
Mr. McClure and his wife, Sherri, have two adult children, Sara and Jonathan. Mr. McClure has been active in the community for many years, serving on the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners, Board of Partnership for Family, Children and Adults, chairman of Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, and as a senior chaplain for Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
The congregation invites all to attend this special celebration and to join them for a meal at the conclusion of the service.
