James “Clinton” Chapman, 40, of LaFayette, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of LaFayette and a member of Woodstation Baptist Church. Clinton worked with his father as a self-employed contractor for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin, who will be greatly missed.
Clinton was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leon McGaha.
He is survived by his parents, James Gary and Dana Annette Chapman; grandparents, Sylvia McGaha and Roger and Sue Chapman; sister, Elizabeth Lauren (Ryan) Lawrence; aunt, Angie (Doug) Ingram; uncle, Rex (Becky) Chapman; niece, Parker; and cousins, Cole, Kurt, Allie and Jenny.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8 at Woodstation Baptist Church, in Leon’s Cove, 42 Round Pond Road in LaFayette, with Bro. Jimmy Powell and Bro. Steve Skates officiating.
