County Commission meetings will be live streamed starting early next spring.
The commission next Wednesday is expected to approve $46,142 with Pomeroy IT Solutions.
Officials said the setup from Cisco Systems will provide front and rear cameras that will automatically focus on the speaker with no need for live operators.
The programs can be viewed live on Facebook. The county has a Facebook page with 4,600 followers.
Recorded versions of prior meetings can be seen on Utube.
Officials said there will be links to the live feeds and recordings on the county's website.
The City Council already live streams its agenda sessions and regular meetings.
Most County School Board meetings are also live streamed.
There will be a continuing cost to the county of $5,400 per year.
Officials said some of the new equipment can also be used for video conferencing with economic development prospects as well as at the Emergency Operations Center.
