CCS, Notre Dame In DII District 2 Finals

Both boys and girls teams from CCS and Notre Dame won their semifinal games on Thursday night in the Division II Class A District 2 tournament hosted by the Irish and will face off in Friday's district championship games. 

CCS girls beat Silverdale 65-42 and the boys beat Boyd-Buchanan 66-57.  

In the other girls semifinal, Notre Dame beat Grace 50-24.   Notre Dame boys and Silverdale faced off in the late semifinal and the Irish won 51-39.

5:30 p.m. Boys Consolation - Boyd-Buchanan vs Silverdale

7 p.m. Girls Championship - Notre Dame vs CCS

8:30 p.m. Boys Championship - Notre Dame vs CCS

Female Inmate Dies At Bradley County Jail Monday

A female inmate was found unresponsive at the Bradley County Jail on Monday afternoon. The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of a couple with a Down syndrome child who sued the county schools.
