Ruth Holmberg Arts Leadership Award Honoring Alice L. Smith And The Late Booker T. Scruggs II To Be Held Tuesday At Hunter Museum

The 2018 Ruth Holmberg Arts Leadership Award Honoring Alice L. Smith and the late Booker T. Scruggs II will be hosted by ArtsBuild on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View Ave. in Chattanooga. 

Speakers include ArtsBuild President Dan Bowers, ArtsBuild Board Chair, Dr. Roger Brown, Campaign Chair Bryan Kelly and Chattanooga Theatre Centre Board President Jim Kennedy, ArtsBuild board member and owner of Townsend Atelier Peggy Townsend.
 
Performances will be by Shane Morrow and The Ensemble, formerly known as the Booker T.

Scruggs Ensemble.
 
"This annual award was established to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts in Chattanooga and are actively engaged in the cultural life of our community. The award honors individuals who, through his or her exemplary efforts, have significantly contributed to building a stronger community through the arts," officials said.
