Frances McAmis
Frances Jenkins McAmis, 85, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at her home.
She was born July 1, 1932, in Sweetwater, Tn., to the late Horace Fredrick and Ora Mae Anderson Jenkins.
Mrs. McAmis was a former member of Central Baptist Church, Woodmore and most recently and active member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul M. McAmis and sisters, Bonnie Jean Jenkins and Ella Mae Roy.
Survivors include her daughters, Cindy (Jimmy) Williams of Trussville, Al., and Patti (Ricky) Clowdus of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Hayden Williams, Hunter Clowdus and Hailey (Andrew) Conniff; and sister, Linda (Bill) Perry of Jacksonville, Fl.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, from 3-6 p.m. and Thursday, March 15, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, at 12 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Clowdus, Hayden Williams, Andrew Conniff, Scott Malone, Marc Malone and Jimmy Williams. The Friendship Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
