The Hamilton County Grand Jury has indicted Sherman Hubbard on a charge of conspiracy to commit rape in a case in which police said a rape was live streamed on Facebook.

The indictment says on July 8, 2017, a 17-year-old girl went to a Chattanooga apartment to have some drinks. Hubbard, who was 21 at the time, was among those present.

It says the girl told police that sometime during the night Hubbard grabbed her and forced her into a bedroom where he then pulled his pants down and tried to pull her pants down.

She said she screamed for Hubbard to stop and to get off her.

The girl said the entire time this was happening that a female was filming it and putting it out over Facebook.

Police said a friend of the girl saw it on Facebook and went to the location to remove the girl from the scene.
