The Chamber’s newest BEST partnership is a relationship between United Community Bank and North Lee Elementary School. “The staff and students are elated to have United Community Bank as our BEST partner.” states Dana Yost, principal North Lee Elementary. “We look forward to working together to improve our school and the community.”

BEST, the acronym for Business & Education Serving Together, is a program of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce that unites the efforts of a business and a selected school for the betterment of both.
“United Community Bank has always taken pride in being active in the communities we serve,” said Matt Hurst, United Community Bank market president. “We are truly honored and blessed to be a BEST partner with North Lee Elementary.”

“The Chamber’s BEST program unites the efforts of a business and a selected school and involves a commitment of time, energy and expertise,” Sherry Crye, the Chamber’s director of workforce development, said. “The ultimate goal is to help prepare students for the labor force. The intermediate goal is to forge affiliations between a business and a school for the benefit of both.”

Each public school in the Bradley County and Cleveland City School Systems has one or more local business partners. For information about the BEST partnership program, call Sherry Crye at 423-472-6587.
