Esther Helton said she has raised $54,814 for the open House District 30 seat, while fellow Republican Jonathan Mason has taken in $10,168.
Ms. Helton said, “No one enjoys raising campaign funds, but it is a necessary part of a credible campaign. I continue to work hard in listening to the concerns of residents and business leaders across District 30 while discussing the importance of effective leadership in Nashville.
“I am so humbled by the tremendous support my campaign has received as we get ready to begin our grassroots efforts next month.”

Helton, in the recent quarter, received $1,500 from Bob McKamey, $1,000 from Greg Brock and David Myrell, $500 from R.P. Barnes, Mike Baskette, Hiren Desai, Glenn Heath, Roger Hendrix, Jon Kinsey, Mark Litchford, Tennessee Volunteer PAC, Charlie White and Wes Williams.
Mason donors included Mike Carter $1,500.
The Republican Primary for state and federal offices is Thursday, Aug. 2, and the general election is Nov. 6..
