Sequoyah High Open House Is Thursday

Sequoyah High School will hold an open house on Thursday from 4:30-7 p.m. to share information about the programs offered at the school. 

The program will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a welcome presentation and information about the event.  At 5 p.m. those attending will visit program areas and meet instructors.  The welcome segment will be repeated from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for those who missed the beginning of the program. 

The programs featured will include automotive collision and repair, automotive maintenance and light repair, cosmetology, digital arts and design, electrical systems, machining technology, structural systems, and welding. 

The evening will include information about the two Future Ready Institutes planned for the fall.  The institutes planned at Sequoyah are the Institute of Industrial Manufacturing and the Institute of Digital Arts, Design and Production. 

Future Ready Institutes are small learning communities or “schools within a school” where students with similar career interests engage in project-based learning connected with a career theme.
