Evelyn Meadows Delaney, 88, died peacefully in her sleep on April 18, 2018.
She was born in Chester, S.C. and moved to Chattanooga in her teens, graduating from Central High School in 1947.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Helen Meadows and her husband of 65 years, JB Delaney. Evelyn retired from Foam Fabricating and Stanley Works after over 25 years of service. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Evelyn was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, boating and in her later years, crocheting.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Jim (Eileen) Delaney; grandchildren, Kelly Delaney, Jason (Katie) Delaney and Megan (Brandon) Waters as well as five great-grandchildren and another expected in June.
A private service will be held.
