Garage On Bice Road Damaged By Fire Monday Afternoon

A garage on Bice Road was damaged fire Monday afternoon.

At approximately 12:23 p.m. the Dallas Bay Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire. Upon arrival, the fire department found an unattached garage fully involved in fire.

The property owners are identified as Cathy and Jerry Street. There were no injuries. The damage was estimated at $80,000. There was a vehicle in the garage that was also destroyed by the fire. 

The cause is believed to be from a lawnmower. The homeowner stated that they had been mowing the yard and stored the lawnmower back in the garage. The homeowner said, that they were alerted by their dog that something was wrong. They stepped outside and noticed that the garage was fully involved in fire. The homeowners then contacted 911. 

The Red Bank Fire Department responded through Tri-State Mutual Aid to stand by at the Dallas Bay station for any additional calls in the Dallas Bay area.
