Former Bradley County Sheriff Tim Gobble Among 10 Finalists For TBI Director

Former Bradley County Sheriff Tim Gobble is among the 10 finalists for director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

A commission will recommend three of the top 10 for consideration by Governor Bill Haslam.

Mr. Gobble, who is now on the state parole board, was also city manager of East Ridge at one time. He also worked at the Hamilton County Jail for Sheriff Jim Hammond.

Other finalists are:

David Jolley, who was recently appointed U.S. Marshal for East Tennessee

Danny Wright, former Rockwood Police chief and TBI agent

Jason Locke, the current TBI deputy director

Assistant TIB Director Richard Moore

Knoxville Police Chief David Rausch

Edward Reinhold, former Special Agent in Charge of Knoxville's FBI office

Genevieve May, the U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana

Marjorie Quin, an assistant professor at Cumberland University in Lebanon and a former TBI agent

Jerry Kitchen, assistant U.S. attorney in Memphis.

The selection process started when Mark Gwyn announced his retirement in February.
