5 Candidates In The Running For House Seat Being Vacated By Rep. Kevin Brooks

Five candidates will be on the ballot for the House District 24 seat being vacated by Rep. Kevin Brooks.

Mallory Pickert is running as a Democrat.

Republican contenders are Mark Hall, Alan Ledford, Israel David Farless and Garry D. Moore.

Dan Howell is unopposed for a new term in House District 22.

Senator Mike Bell has no Republican opposition for Senate District 9. Carl Lansden is running as a Democrat.

Rep. Brooks is running for mayor of Cleveland with the blessing of longtime Mayor Tom Rowland, who is retiring. Duane Schriver will also be on the ballot for Cleveland mayor.

Cleveland Councilman Bill Estes in unopposed in District 2, and Councilman Charlie McKenzie is unopposed in District 1.

Running for a Cleveland council at large seat will be Larry "The Canman" D'Agata, David Durkin, Scott McGowan and Ken Webb.

Running for Charleston City Council are Walter Goode, Garett Hammontree and Allen Martin.

Unopposed for Cleveland School Board seats are Dawn Robinson, Peggy Pesterfield, Tom Cloud and Charles Cogdill.

For the Bradley County School Board, Chris Cassada and Vicki Beaty are candidates in District 2, and Dianna Ball Calfee and Troy Weathers are running in District 4.

Amanda Lee is unopposed in District 6.
