Baylor's Maia Signs With Carson Newman

Baylor soccer standout Matheus Maia signed to continue his soccer career at Carson Newman University on Thursday at the Baylor School.  

"We are really excited for Matheus and his future at Carson Newman," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said.  "He gets to play for a great coach in Coach Lyons and they are always around the Top25 in the nation. Coach Lyons and I played soccer together at Tennessee Wesleyan College and I know that he will take care of Matheus. I am always excited when I can send players to any program that he is involved with."

Maia  scored nine goals and had three assists this year for the Baylor soccer team.
He also plays his club soccer for Chattanooga FC Academy and coach David Oesch who helped him as he returned from ACL surgery.
