Robin Copp
Robin Copp, principal of Ooltewah High School, was selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). 2018 Ooltewah High Valedictorian Phillip Dyer nominated Ms. Copp for her outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in education.
Each year, student members of NSHSS are invited to nominate the educator who has made the most significant contribution to their academic career. This honor recognizes exemplary educators whose passion and devotion inspire students to grow and develop as scholars, leaders, and citizens.

Copp is no stranger to accolades as she was the 2017-2018 Tennessee Principal of the Year. She was named the East Grad Division winner in the process of becoming the top Tennessee principal.
In major recognitions, Ms. Copp has been honored for creating a student-centered school focused on teaching and learning. She supports teachers with professional learning and encourages them to be teacher leaders.
The National Society of High School Scholars advances the goals and aspirations of high-achieving students. The organization offers unique learning experiences, scholarships, internships, international study, and peer networks. NSHSS offers annual Nobel Week festivities in Stockholm, internships with major corporations and government agencies, pre-college summer study programs, and scholarships.
