Steve Allen
Stephen Doyle “Steve” Allen, 58, of Ooltewah, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Steve was born May 7, 1960, in Chattanooga. He was a United States Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Akzo Nobel after many years of service. Steve was an avid motorcyclist and loved to travel.
His son, Blake Allen, father, Doyle Allen, and brother, Tony Allen preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Schirmer of Chattanooga; wife, Patricia Allen of Ooltewah; son, Nicholas Pereira of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Bella Pereira and Christian Pereira of Chattanooga; brothers, Mike (Sonya) Allen of Harrison; Scott (Jennifer) Allen of Long Boat Key, Fl.; aunt, Helen (Charles) Hoge of Rome, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Steve had a strong sense and deep love for his family. He will be remembered as a great Papa to his grandchildren and will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, at 11:30 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Bill Mason officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
