Avery LaJuan Washington, 28, passed away on June 6, 2018.
 
He was a graduate of Chattanooga School of Arts and Sciences in the Class of 2008. He attended Chattanooga State and graduated Middle Tennessee State University. He was a member of the “Mighty” Mu Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
 
Survivors include his loving mother, Mary Washington; grandmother, Maggie Bailey; brother, Antonio (Nicole) Washington; niece/sister, TiShai Washington; niece, Lauryn Washington; aunt, Patricia Hudson; cousins, Charlotte King, Constance (Jeffrey) Gaines, and Frederick Ramseur; other relatives and friends.
 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, at 1 p.m. in the chapel, with Reverend Jessie Broadnax as eulogist and Pastor Randy Jacks as officiant. Interment will be in Lakewood East.
 
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, June 15. Family visitation will be from 6-7 p.m.
