2 Shot In Separate Incidents Early Saturday Morning; 1 Victim Is A Juvenile Girl

Two people were shot early Saturday morning in separate incidents.

The first incident was at 3:30 a.m. when the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a person shot on the 1000 block of North Willow Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. 

 HCEMS transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators established a crime scene and spoke to the victim about the incident. 

The victim will not be identified due to the fact that she is a juvenile.

The second incident was at 4:30 a.m. when the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a person shot on the 4100 block of Fagan Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, Corey Birt, 31, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. 

 HCEMS transported him to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He advised that he was a passenger in a vehicle when he was shot.
