Leon Green
Leon Green, 72, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018.
Leon was a native of Hixson, born on November 11, 1945. He was a backhoe operator for over 40years. Leon was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing his guitar at church as well as playing for local nursing home residents. He was a loving husband, father, and provider for his family.
Leon was preceded in death by Shirley Green, his wife of 43 years.
Survivors include his son, Dewayne Rice (Margaret); daughter Kim Powell (Dewayne); daughter, Karen Pendergrass; grandchildren, Kelly Rice, Jesse Rice, Noah Dobbs, and Ethan Pendergrass; and great granddaughter, Taylor Rice.
The Green family will receive friends at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, at the funeral home chapel, followed by interment in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
