Brenda Moore
Brenda Sue Moore, 70, died on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at her home in McDonald.
She was born on June 13, 1948 in Dayton, to the late Olin Howard. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lori Cunningham and her nephew, Josh Poche, both of Oliver Springs.
Brenda grew up in Oak Ridge and lived in Dayton for more than 30 years, until moving to McDonald in 2017. She graduated high school in Oak Ridge and then graduated as a licensed practical nurse from Chattanooga State. She was an office clerk at Robinsons in Dayton and worked for Maxim Healthcare as a Private Duty Pediatrics Nurse for a very special family. Brenda enjoyed spending time with friends, family and serving in church activities. She was baptized at the age of 13 at the First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge and an active member until the age of 19 when she married. Brenda was then an active member at the First Baptist Church in Dayton.
She is survived by her mother, Eva Lee Howard of Oak Ridge; her son, Shane (Edee) Moore of Dryden, Va.; her daughter, Dawn (Darrell) Barker of McDonald; her two nieces, Kim Poche of Oliver Springs and Heather Poole of Powell; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Brenda will be held on Monday, at noon at the First Baptist Church in Dayton with Reverend Milton Knox officiating. Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive family and friends at the First Baptist Church in Dayton on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon.
